Horse Gives Final Farewell To Dead Owner (Video)

That's when...

A Paraguayan man’s horse bid a final farewell to its deceased owner by laying its head down on the casket (video below).

Little Things reports that 34-year-old Wagner Lima, a Paraguayan cowboy, died suddenly in a motorcycle accident on New Year’s Day 2017 in Brazil.

Lima’s favorite thing in the world was his pet horse, Sereno. The two had been best friends for many years.

Lima’s brother, Wando, arranged for Sereno to be at the funeral alongside friends and family. “This horse was everything to him,” Wando said. “It was as if the horse knew what was happening and wanted to say goodbye.”

Wando led Sereno down the aisle to Wagner’s casket, at which point Sereno reacted by seemingly whimpering at the smell of his dead owner. He then laid his head down on the casket.

The crowd was moved — many to tears.

The story has since gone viral, with many on Facebook commenting on the emotional story. One user wrote, “Who says that animals don’t have spirits or souls. This story will make you think differently. God bless this amazing horse.”

Another added, “So sweet! We love our animals! Thank you Lord for giving them to us!”

Wando now says he will take care of Sereno in his brother’s honor.
