Everyone needs something to make them smile, and this story will surely bring a big grin on your face!
Xander is a pug, but. he isn’t an ordinary one. He is blind and has some breathing issues, but he is still one of the most lovable puppies out there.
Xander was left sad, alone, and confused when he was brought to the Klamath Animal Shelter. But luckily, he was only there for a few days, because before he knew it, Marcie and Rodney Beedy had noticed his loving personality and decided to adopt him, to one day become a therapy dog.
After he found his forever home, he was sent to Dog School at Double C, where he was then trained to become a therapy dog, where he would learn how to comfort those in need, and provide companionship. He even helps children who are afraid of dogs overcome their fear.
And this adorable little pooch was even a recipient of the AKC ACE award for Therapy Dog in 2014, a huge accomplishment for the pup!
Xander provides hope to people by showing them that having a disability doesn’t mean you have to give up on your dreams.
Xander travels to many places as well. He visits nursing homes and hospitals and even will visit children during their therapy sessions. He provides comfort and hope to those he visits, and everyone loves being in his presence.
