Nivea in the classic blue tins is a staple in many men’s and women’s bathroom cabinet inventory.
Lots of people carry one in their handbag as well. But Nivea cream isn’t just good for a quick refresher on your hands. You can use it in lots of other ways too.
1. Anti-aging
Declare war on wrinkles with Nivea. Just smear a little on the areas where you notice wrinkles developing before going to bed and you’ll soon notice the difference!
2. Stretch marks
To prevent stretch marks after pregnancy, you can rub some Nivea into your belly, chest, and hips every day. It’s just as good as the expensive oils targeted at stretch marks.
3. Rings under your eyes
If you have long nights, you might wake up the next morning with dark rings under your eyes. It can be pretty hard to conceal them so avoiding them altogether is always preferable. Before going to bed, try massaging the cream into the delicate skin around your eyes. Wash your face gently the next morning and you’ll see the change.
4. Removing makeup
If you have Nivea at home, you can forget fancy makeup removers. You don’t need them. Dunk a little cotton ball in the cream and take the makeup off with it. It even works with waterproof makeup!
5. Dry elbows
Many people suffer from dry, even cracked skin at the their elbows. Here too, Nivea is an ideal moisturizer that will leave your skin soft and smooth.
6. Dry hands
Dry hands is a common problem — especially if you have to wash your hands very often. You don’t need an expensive hand cream for extra-dry skin though. You can just use Nivea: it’s such a powerful moisturizer that even raw, overworked hands will soon be smooth again.
The cream also works wonders for dry knees and feet!
7. Preventing and treating dermatitis
Often, people suffer from dermatitis caused by the overuse of the wrong or too-aggressive soaps, cleansers, creams, or other products. This can lead to eczema, redness, itching, and swollen areas. Because of its particularly thick texture, Nivea is well-suited to treat these types of serious skin problems.
Of course, if they don’t get better it’s a good idea to visit a dermatologist.
8. Treating small burns
All it takes is a split second touching a pot or burner on the stove you didn’t think was on and suddenly your finger or hand is burning horribly. Once again, Nivea will be your savior: it soothes the skin and helps prevent blistering.
9. Heal sunburn
We all have those summer days when we forget to put on sunscreen and stay outside longer than expected. Then, that night or the next morning, we find ourselves covered with the notorious, painful, red burns. But with a few smears of Nivea, the area will cool down and you can enjoy some relief.
10. Lip balm
Dry, brittle lips don’t get many kisses ;-) To get your lips back to a soft and supple state, just apply Nivea a few times a day for a few days. You’ll be so kissable and you’ll also save money on pricey lip care products.
It’s incredible how many ways there are to put that little tin of cream to use! You’ll save money and all the fuss of carrying a bunch of overpriced specailized products — the perfect solution for so many problems will be right there in your pocket or shelf!
