Nutella is Poisonous for You and Your Kids

Did you know this about Nutella? Look at the food label. It's full of crazy preservatives and artificial junk, yet it's marketed as a "healthy" option for families. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Nutella has been produced by the Italian company Ferrero since 1964. Nutella is one of the most popular products in the world, being produced not only in Italy, but in many other countries as well. What you need to know is that it contains a lot of unhealthy ingredients.

These are all the ingredients Nutella contains: sugar, palm oil, hazelnuts, cocoa, skim milk, reduced minetals, whey, soy lecithin as emulsifier, and vanillin. Many people know how dangerous these ingredients are, but Nutella still claims their products don’t include artificial colors and artificial preservatives.

Read on and you will discover that their statement is a lie.

Vanillin: an artificial flavor (MSG)

Vanillin scent and flavor are chemicals. It is cheaply produced due to advanced technology. It can be found in nearly 90% of the manufactured food products.

Monosodium glutamate (MSG) is the worst ingredient of vanillin. It has no health benefits because it is not a nutrient, vitamin or mineral. MSG works as an excitotoxin, stimulating the brain and making us feel that Nutella tastes better than it actually does.

Many scientists and doctors say excitotoxins play an important role in the development of neurological disorders, such as migraines, seizures, infections, abnormal neural development, certain endocrine disorders, obesity, ALS, Parkinson’s disease, Alzhaimer’s disease, Huntington’s disease and olivopontocerebellar degeneration.

Palm oil

This kind of oil, which is used in many processed foods is taken from the fruit of the oil palm tree. It is the second most popular food oil in the world. Palm oil raises the cholesterol levels in the blood, which could lead to serious heart diseases.

A study from 1999 has found that manufacturers of processed food use palm oil in an oxidized state. The oxidized palm oil is dangerous for many physiological and biochemical functions of the body. Researchers say that it can trigger organ toxicity of the heart, kidney, liver and lungs.

Soy lecithin

It comes from sludge left after basic soy oil goes through a “degumming” process. It is actually a waste product that includes solvents and pesticides. Also, its consistency varies from a gummy fluid to a plastic solid. Today, the manufacturers of soybean oil use the hexane extraction process, which gives less lecithin than the older ethanol-benzol process but produces a more marketable lecithin that has better color, reduced odor and less bitter flavor.

Mostly, soy lecithin is used as an emulsifier that keeps the water and fats from separating in foods such as margarine, peanut butter, chocolate candies, and ice cream. Moreover, it prevents spoilage of the products, which means expands their life on the market shelves.

In addition, you must know that more than 90% of the soy sources in the world are GMO. This soy contains plenty of plant toxicants. GMO soy can lead to decreased fertility, immunological alterations in the gut and many allergies.

Reduced minerals whey

Whey protein is a waste product of cheese production. It is produced by the dairy companies from sources that are substandard, such as cows fed with GMO foods, antibiotics, and hormones.

Reduced minerals whey is a cream that has dark color. Its production starts with drying whey that has been treated to remove a portion of the minerals. The minerals are removed by physical separation techniques, like precipitation, filtration or dialysis. The demineralization levels usually exceed 90%, which means this ingredient is nutrition useless.

Reduced minerals whey is an additive that is used to prevent the coagulation of the product because it stabilizes the fat emulsions.
