It’s official! One of the world’s most famous bachelors is off the market.
The Prince of Wales has announced that Prince Harry and actress girlfriend Meghan Markle are engaged. Meghan will become the first divorced, biracial, Jewish American actress to join the British royal family.
Here are some details we now know:
Word is that Prince Harry will choose one of Princess Diana’s jewels to be turned into an engagement ring. Absolutely incredible.
Once married, Meghan will be given the royal title of Duchess and Harry will be bestowed a Dukedom, such as the Duke of Sussex.
Meghan gave her first interview about Prince Harry in September 2017 after they’d been quietly dating for about six months. The couple have remained rather tight-lipped about their relationship, but rumors of wedding bells have swirled around them.
The wedding is set to take place in Spring 2018, during what’s being described as a “non-traditional” ceremony.
It has also been announced that they will live in Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace.
