It was July, and the temperatures reached 97-degrees in Florida. Jessica Barnes had gone to Pensacola Beach to soak up some sun. She just happened to turn her head and saw a police officer drenched in sweat approaching. The officer was carrying a five-year-old boy on his shoulders.

The boy had gotten separated from his family, and the officer was trying to help him find his family. It didn’t matter to the officer that he was hot and sweaty (and probably very uncomfortable carrying the child around) – the boy needed to find his family. The story was posted on the Love What Matters Facebook page, and it soon earned over 49,000 likes.
