Anyone can experience hair problems, especially hair fall despite the use of products that claim to prevent it. Thankfully, there are home remedies that you can turn to without fearing for the chemicals that can worsen the problem. One treatment that is worth you trying is the use of guava leaves.
Guava is recognized as a sweet exotic fruit from Mexico and South and Central America. The fruit itself is extremely nutritious with three times the recommended daily vitamin C intake, along with vitamin A, fiber, potassium, and lycopene.
Guava Leaves for Your Hair
Using guava leaves and applying them onto your hair can make it softer and more lustrous. But for people who are losing hair, guava leaves can help thicken hair volume. The leaves are effective in boosting hair growth because it helps treat scalp problems, which is a common cause of hair fall.
Guava leaves have healing properties, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, analgesic, and antibacterial – all of these contribute to better scalp health.
To use guava leaves for your hair, here are the things you need:
ü A handful of leaves from a guava tree
ü One liter of water
ü Strainer
ü A pot
With the mentioned items ready, here are the steps to preparing the hair grower:
1. Add one liter of water into the pot.
2. Place the pot on the stove and let it boil.
3. When water is boiling, it’s time to add the guava leaves.
4. Leave the leaves boiling in water for about 20 minutes.
5. Use the strainer to take the liquid.
6. Let the liquid cool down before applying onto your scalp.
Make sure you have cleansed your hair first before using the guava leaf solution. You can use shampoo first and then let your hair dry before application. To make it easier, you can part your hair into sections as you apply the liquid into your hair. Massage your scalp for about 10 minutes or more if you wish.
Your hair should be all wet with the guava leaf water, especially the roots and the tips. You can rinse after two hours or you can leave it on your hair overnight. Just wrap it with a towel and you can go to bed as the solution works its magic. Rinsing the solution off your hair needs lukewarm water to thoroughly remove it.
It is recommended that you make the guava leaf solution three times a week, particularly if you have a hair fall problem. If you’re just aiming to quicken hair growth or keep your hair stronger and shinier, use the solution twice a week.
