There are not much things that smell better than the delicious smell of a homemade bread. It must have reminded you of the good old times when your grandparents were preparing it and the aroma of it was spreading all over the house. There is an enormous difference in quality between commercial and homemade breads – the homemade one is highly better and nutritious than the one bought in the store.
But, unfortunately, not many of you know how to prepare homemade bread. The majority of people think it’s very complicated. In order to prove this, in today’s article we have provided for you a simple recipe which will help you to prepare an amazing homemade bread.
YOU NEED:
- 3 cups of flour
- 1 package of yeast
- 1 glass of warm water
- ½ tbsp. of baking powder
- ½ tbsp. of vegetable oil
- ½ tbsp. of salt
- A little bit of olive oil
- 2 cups of flour
PREPARATION
Put the water, yeast, and flour in a big bowl and mix them until you get a homogenous mass. Then, let it stay for 15 minutes. When you see some bubbles on the surface, add the salt, oil, the 2 cups of flour. Then, knead for 10 minutes and let it stay once again for 2 hours until the dough becomes double in size.
As soon as the dough is ready, cut it into 8 small pieces. Knead them separately into shape. Then, cover them with a cloth or filter paper and let them stay for about 30 minutes. Then, take a rolling pin and stretch the dough to form 12 cm. circles that have 5 cm in diameter. Add some olive oil in the frying pan and add the dough circles one by one. Fry each one for around 2 minutes on each side.
Beside being delicious, this homemade bread loaf is extremely nutritious. You can garnish it with olives, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sardines, eggs, or mushrooms! Enjoy!
