Research Reveals 2 Dessert Foods That Reduce Wrinkles

Isn’t this fantastic?

Researchers claim they have found the secret to eternal youth- and it is a combination of chocolate and red wine! Isn’t this too sweet?

Namely, the team of researchers from Exeter University and Brighton University discovered that red wine and chocolate rejuvenate old cells in the body and they start acting as young cells.

Over the years, the DNA strands in the cells gradually lose protective telomeres, which act similar to plastic tips at the end of shoelaces.

Researchers analyzed the effects of chemicals which are naturally found in red wine, dark chocolate, red grapes and blueberries by applying them to human cells. These foods are high in flavonoids, which are infamous since they have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Yet, during the treatment, the older cells started to divide and had longer telomeres, which led researchers to believe that this could be used in anti-aging therapies.

Earlier, researchers found that a class of genes known as splicing factors, is progressively switched off as we age.

According to the lead researcher Professor Harries,

“This is a first step in trying to make people live normal lifespans, but with health for their entire life. Our data suggest that using chemicals to switch back on the major class of genes that are switched off as we age might provide a means to restore function to old cells.”

According to another researcher, Dr. Eva Latorre from the University of Exeter,

“When I saw some of the cells in the culture dish rejuvenating I couldn’t believe it. These old cells were looking like young cells. It was like magic. I repeated the experiments several times and in each case, the cells rejuvenated. I am very excited by the implications and potential for this research.”

Furthermore, another study has shown that red wine enhances the quality of life and lifespan in people who are “unable to exercise.”

According to a study performed at the King’s College London, chocolate and red wine keep people fit and healthy.

Therefore, we just need to enjoy a glass of tasty red wine and some chocolate, and remain beautiful and young-looking! Isn’t this fantastic?
