SIMPLE AND EFFECTIVE ‘SPINE LINE’ FOOT MASSAGE TO REVERSE BACK PAIN FAST

Try this!

Apparently, the back pain can be alleviated successfully by a foot massage.

The study done by the Iranian Journal of Nursing and Midwifery Research showed that this massage significantly reduced the nurses’ pain in the spine.

The study contained 50 female and male nurses who suffered from chronic lower back pain. During a period of two weeks, these people went through massage sessions which lasted for 40 minutes three times a week.

Moreover, Half of the people went through reflexology massages, which addressed certain body parts related to back pain, and the rest went through general massages.

At the end of the research, the pain in people who went through reflexology massages was significantly more reduced compared to the other group. Yet, all participants experienced alleviation of their back in the lower back.

What this study proved is the fact that lower back pain can be reduced by any type of massage, but this reduction can be much higher if the patient is treated with massages which aim at specific body parts related to lower back pain.

Moreover, it has been shown that there is a relation between back pain and body posture and foot health.

Our feet contain numerous pain- points which are related to lower back pain, and if massaged, the pain and stiffness in the back may be reduced. It is equally effective if you massage them, or someone else massages you. What’s more, results are felt even after the first massage.

Therefore, you need to spend 10-20 minutes a day, 2-3 times weekly and do this foot massage.

How to Do the Foot Massage:
If you are a beginner, you should find the point which is associated with your spine on your foot first. So, sit on the floor, cross your legs and take one foot in your hand. The projection of your spine is the line located between the heel and the big toe, in the inner foot bow.

Try to visualize the line as your spine, and locate its lumbar, thoracic, coccyx, sacrum, and cervical part.

Use your fingers and press the points on your foot, starting from the heel to the toe. This massage will effectively relieve the pain and tension in your spine.
