Teen Hangs Herself After Accidentally Sending A Snapchat To Boyfriend

She initially wanted to send a Snapchat message to her friend where she confessed about cheating

Charlotte Guy is a 17-year-old girl who committed suicide after accidentally sending a Snapchat message to her then-boyfriend where she confessed to cheating. Charlotte’s parents have said that she had been referred to a healthcare professional in the past after they felt like she had a willingness to hurt herself.

Charlotte hailed from Wigan, Greater Manchester, England and she initially wanted to send a Snapchat message to her friend where she confessed about cheating but instead accidentally sent it to her boyfriend.

The couple had been going through a tumultuous relationship and had broken up just three days before Charlotte ended her life.

Jack Hurst is the 20-year-old boyfriend and it was during Charlotte’s inquest where he revealed that he had been dating Charlotte on and off for the past two years.

According to The Mirror, during the inquest, he said: ‘she had made comments to me before about feeling that the world wasn’t meant for her.’

Jack then revealed that it was on September 21 when he went to visit Charlotte in Wigan and that’s when she said she wanted to end the relationship.

In his statement, as obtained by Daily Mail, Jack said: ‘she said that she felt like she couldn’t trust me but wanted to stay friends. I said that it wasn’t what I wanted but I went back to my parents in Blackpool.’ He continued: ‘she asked if I was okay and I said that I felt we could continue our relationship. Charlotte went out with friends that night and I didn’t hear much from her.’
